Pleasure Toy Description & Podcast Video

The Neon Wand kit is an electrical stimulation kit. It is used to provide a type of electric sensation on the skin, either solo or partnered. The sensation can vary from a pleasurable warm light tingle to a more intense focused sensation, like a sting, that some might even declare as “painful” in a pleasurable way. It is often used in kink play and BDSM.

The Neon Wand is a solid-state device, no moving parts inside. It has a compact and lightweight red handle. It provides a wide range of intensity settings from low to high, making it accessible for beginners to intermediate/advanced players.

The Neon Wand Kit comes with 4 different glass attachments, also called electrodes. These 4 are: Electrode Comb, Mushroom Tube, 90-degree Probe and a Tongue Tube.

Functions & Noise

It is highly recommended to read the supplied instruction booklet before your first use and any other use to remind yourself of the safe use if the kit. My review details are not sufficient information on the use of this product. Ensure it is safe & appropriate for you to use.

The KinkLab Neon Wand Kit is powered by a cord that needs to be plugged in. It comes with a US power plug and requires an adapter when you use it elsewhere. Luckily, within this Kit an Australian adapter included.

There is a general procedure on how to use the Neon Wand, but there are various modifications and other ways to include this kinky tool, which I will not go into within my review. However, here are some key points for the simple function of the Neon Wand: Attach and change the glass electrodes while the Neon Wand is unplugged and turned off. The metal end of the attachment should fit in nicely into the socket of the handset. Always start slow and build up as desired in intensity. Always start by touching the electrodes with a less sensitive area of the body. Move the electrodes over the skin by slightly hoovering over the skin. Always in motion.

The intensity can be controlled via the intensity dial on the Red Neon Wand handle and the type of attachment and how the attachment is being used on the skin. The wider the base of the attachment (eg. mushroom head) the less intense it might be, the more pinpoint (eg. 90degree probe) the more intense it might be. It is something to play and explore with for each person.

There are many precautions to note before operating a Neon Wand. Therefore, it is highly suggested to read the instruction manual before use. Some of the precautions (not limited to) are related to health conditions such as heart issues or pregnancy, related to environment such as do not use near water or flammable materials, remove jewellery, function of the device such as check working conditions etc.

Technical info: Voltage USA plug 110V European plug 220V, Working frequency of 50 to 60 HZ, Power of 10W.

It weighs about 1kg. The box measures to be 13 inch long, 8.2 inch wide and 2.3-inch depth.

Care & Cleaning

It is highly recommended to read the instruction booklet for more details. In mine it states that you can sterilize an electrode by gently cleaning it with using at least 75% alcohol. Make sure it is unplugged and do not turn it on until the alcohol is fully evaporated. I used a cleaning wipe and a dry towel afterwards for general cleaning.

Store the Neon Wand and all the attachments in the box in their right compartment to keep them safe from breaking.

Handle the attachments with caution as they are made from glass and can break. Always check that everything is in working order before use

Personal Experience Review

Why I Love the KinkLab Neon Wand Kit

As someone with a sensual, kinky, and energetic blueprint, the KinkLab Neon Wand Kit is a perfect match for my pleasure preferences, whether I’m using it on myself or with a partner.

I first discovered electrostimulation play at a kink party at a swinger’s venue in South Australia, and I was instantly hooked. That night, I even found myself tied to a pole, teased with the wand, and loving every minute of it. I remember the person using it on me commenting, “You should be in pain, not pleasure.” The same thing was said when I was hung upside down and enjoying the experience far more than they expected! It was clear that electro play was something I wanted to explore further.

I love the tingling sensation on my skin, the anticipation it builds, and the fascinating sound it makes. When I began looking for a Violet Wand or similar electrostimulation devices, I found most options were either too expensive or of low quality and I was thrilled to receive the KinkLab Neon Wand as a gift!

Compared to traditional Violet Wands, the Neon Wand is lightweight, more affordable, and perfect for both beginners and experienced users. After extended use, I did notice that it tends to warm up slightly, but it’s not a major issue. The kit comes with four attachments, each providing different sensations and intensities, making it fun to experiment with. Cleaning and storage are also simple, thanks to the handy box included in the kit. The instruction manual is full of valuable tips on how to use the device safely and effectively, and I appreciated that it came with an Australian adapter.

One of my favorite features is the sound, just loud enough to build anticipation but not overwhelming. I had a blast trying all the attachments and adjusting the intensity settings. It’s an exciting addition to solo play, and I can’t wait to incorporate it into partner play as well. Adding a blindfold and some restraints takes the experience to an even kinkier level.

I’m thrilled to have the KinkLab Neon Wand as part of my pleasure collection, and I look forward to exploring it even more.

You know how you can be highly functional, maybe you run a business, care for others, lead, hold everything together, and on the outside, things seem to work…
but inside, you feel tense, disconnected, on autopilot, or constantly on?

I'm Patricia, a mother, DV survivor, solopreneur and founder of Pleasurelit®.

Pleasurelit® is a tantric somatic embodiment approach that supports women to expand their capacity for pleasure, so they live, lead, and relate from within their body, without paying for it with burnout, disconnection, or self-betrayal.

My work is grounded in trauma-informed somatics, nervous system regulation, breath, movement, tantra, sexuality, holistic health, and embodied leadership, so pleasure becomes lit from within the body, and not something reserved for rest, intimacy, or escape.
