Shipping & Package

Shipping was super-fast, given it came from the US to Australia within 5 days, I was impressed. It was somewhat discreet. Due to the fact they needed to declare something there was “massager sample gift” written on it, which is an indirect language for vibrators, but still discreet enough for people who don’t know. They are US based, but ship internationally for additional costs. Looking at additional costs from US to AUS is pricey with about $86. The Velvet Thruster XL Teddy was safely secured in colourful box. The box included the pleasure toy itself, charging cable and instruction booklet.

Velvet Brands – Velvet Brands is a boutique pleasure and wellness company located in Brooklyn, NY. They engineer and manufacturer their own toy brands under velvet brands. They are especially known for their handheld sex machines, such as the customizable Velvet Prime and Thruster Mini, which were designed by Alex and Danyell Fima along with the guidance from sex toy reviewers. They are passionate to use advanced engineering sex-tech to build new and unique sex toys. All their products are made with body safer materials. They consist of 4 brands: Velvet Thruster, Boutique Voila (Fun toys), L’acier (Stainless Steel) and Gleam (Lube). They sell directly to consumers and ship internationally. Pleasure Toy Description

The Velvet Thruster Teddy XL is a thrusting Dildo with a suction cup. The Dildo can be used as is or with the thrusting feature, like a mini sex machine. It can be used solo and in partner play. Due to the wider base with suction cup the Dildo could be used anally as well.

Velvet Thruster Teddy XL is made with soft medical grade silicone, which feels very smooth and soft to touch. It is available in the colours: black, red, purple and turquoise. The shape is similar to a realistic looking penis with a head and veiny shaft. It is pretty straight. I measured the Velvet Thruster Teddy XL with over 10 inch in total, insertable with about 5 inch, with about 1.5 inch in width and fully extended with over 11.5 inch. Teddy XL weighs about 400g.

Functions & Noise

Velvet Thruster Teddy XL provides up to 130 strokes per minute and on slow speed about 60 thrusts per minute.

Velvet Thruster Teddy XL has 3 buttons. On one side the on/off button – single press and the thrusting starts, single press to switch off – which reduces its speed to low first and then switches off after a few seconds. Double press the off button to switch off immediately at preferred extension of the dildo (eg. for cleaning purposes turn off it off fully extended). On the other side a + and – button to change the thrusting setting. It provides 6 different speed levels. Single press to go up or down in the level.

There is no remote control.

Velvet Thruster Teddy XL is a thrusting dildo – this usually comes with some more notable noise, especially when the thrusting strokes are strong. I would rate it a 3/5 on low setting and a 4/5 on high setting.

Velvet Thruster Teddy XL is rechargeable with its supplied charging cable via a “stick in” port at the bottom part of the toy. The charging plug is US, which means for all international customers, you are required to organise an adapter to your country of residence. It has a 12v extra-long-lasting battery. Charging can take up to 30min. It can be used while it is plugged in for charging. Fully charged it can provide up to 8 hours of play time, which is plenty.

Care & Cleaning

Due to the silicone, I used mild soapy warm water to clean it and used a pleasure toy towel to dry it. When cleaning it is important to extend the Dildo prior to cleaning so you can get into the silicone that’s otherwise folded together.

It actually does not state its waterproof level on the website or instruction booklet. The charging port has a cover, that useful to keep close when in use and cleaning. It instructs to clean with water running rather from the bottom to top holding the bottom as a top ( I hope I make sense with this description).

Velvet Thruster Teddy XL didn’t come with it a storage bag. I store it in my toy drawer as is with other silicone toys or keep it on my work desk or bedside drawer, as it looks delicious (avoiding direct sunlight).

Due to the silicone, I used water-based lube with it to make it a sliding experience. Especially when it is used anally, use plenty of lube. I also feel that with black silicone, lube dries out quicker & needs to be reapplied, so get the lube ready.

Personal Experience Review

I fell in love with Velvet thruster Teddy XL the moment I laid my eyes on it. I love how beautiful the black silicone is & how the Dildo appears overall. I love the head, veins and textures of the dildo too. It feels smooth and the silicone and quality of the Dildo appears great. The thrusts are smooth & are pretty strong on higher settings. They didn’t stop on the higher settings when I deeply inserted, which is great, though they might stop when on a very low setting.

Due to the fact the Dildo is very straight & firm, it was a bit difficult to find a comfortable position to ride or get f*cked by it when it was sticked to my board. The suction cup could be a little wider and stronger for my liking as it came off when I bend myself too much when finding a comfortable position. I needed to sit up on my knees higher & have my back straighter to experience the thrusting fully & comfortably. In the end, I used the thrusting Dildo more in a laying position with my foot holding it in place in an slight angle, instead of using the suction cup on a flat base.

As mentioned, I rate it up to 4/5 in noise levels, which was kind of expected with a strong thrusting feature. The charging cable requires an adapter as its US, which wasn’t a problem for me as it’s not the first toy I have that needed an adapter.

Once it was inserted and I turned on the thrusting, I wished I had a remote control to change the setting of the thrusting levels, rather than needing to bend forward or swing the toy around to find the button to change it on the toy.

Overall, I love the look of the Velvet Thruster Teddy XL, it is beautiful. The thrusting power is smooth, strong and holding its power even when deep inside. When some of the improvements could be put in place, I can imagine Teddy would provide an even better pleasurable experience. And let me tell you,.. they might already be working on an updated version. So stay tuned!
